One of Australia’s most influential food ‘tweeters’ is officially teaming up with the country’s best selling avocado oil to help promote her “favourite” ingredient.

Bridget Davis, known as “The Internet Chef”, has built an entire business off her social media presence on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and has now become the exclusive brand ambassador for Grove Avocado Oil in Australia.

Her 16,486 Twitter followers (@bridget_cooks) look to Davis for inspiration in the kitchen and will now learn why Grove Avocado Oil is a must-have product for foodies and is used by professional chefs all over Australasia.

“Grove is so good for you and it’s so versatile to cook with. Made from nature’s own avocados, their oil is cold pressed, it has low saturated fat and it has the highest smoke point of any extra virgin oil on the market,” she explains. “So it remains stable during high temperature cooking, making it perfect for stir frying, pan frying, roasting or barbecuing. It’s quite simply brilliant. I love using it.”

The rich, smooth, sumptuous green oil has a mild nutty taste that enhances the natural flavour of foods, rather than overpowering them. It’s extremely versatile and can be used to make dips, marinades, dressings and sauces, while Grove Avocado Oil’s natural moistening properties help to seal in the juicy tenderness of meat, fish and seafood.

In addition to educating her social media fans about Grove, the Sydney-based chef will also use the product at cooking demonstrations and incorporate Grove Avocado Oil into her sought-after degustation menus and when catering corporate events.

Grove’s Executive Director Brian Richardson says he approached Davis about becoming the company’s Australian ambassador after she declared Grove Avocado Oil was her “favourite ingredient” during an interview with a Sydney newspaper.

“Our company couldn’t have asked for a better endorsement,” Richardson says. “She is not only the former head chef at Bill’s in Darlinghurst, but she has been ranked the number one food tweeter in Australia and in the top 10 most influential food tweeters in the world.”

Richardson says Grove is based in the sunny Bay of Plenty, New Zealand and it takes at least 12 sun-ripened avocados to fill each 250ml bottle of Grove Avocado Oil. The skin and stones are removed and the avocado flesh is delicately cold-pressed in a single extra virgin process. The oil is then poured into sleek dark bottles which are designed to preserve its freshness and flavour.

“We have big plans for Australia. Foodies love our oil and Bridget has a great profile, down-to-earth nature and most importantly passion for our product. She was born in New Zealand and loves products from home so we’re excited about what lies ahead.”

Grove sells extra virgin and lime-infused avocado oil in leading Coles and Woolworths supermarkets and is the number one selling product in its category.

Here is the excerpt for the news article that will be teased out into the sidebar read more >

With the addition of natural chilli flavour to Grove’s renowned cold pressed avocado oil, you can turn an ordinary recipe into something that’ll leave an impression on any palate.

From a ravioli dish to a leg of roast lamb, Grove’s chilli-infused avocado oil will add a touch of South American flavour to any culinary creation whether you roast, sauté, stir-fry, drizzle or bake.

Grove Avocado Oil has long been recognised as the oil that foodies love for its taste, its emerald green colour and its versatility in the kitchen. The smoke point (255C) of their avocado oil is higher than any other extra virgin oil – including olive, rice bran and canola – making it the healthier cooking choice as it doesn’t burn as quickly.

The range of infused avocado oils give everyday foodies the flare to create dishes with wonderful flavours, without getting too complicated. Try adding chilli-infused oil to a roast chickpea, pumpkin, rocket and avocado salad, for healthy and delicious lunches.

The rich, smooth, sumptuous green nectar is light in consistency and has a mild chilli bite. It’s perfect as a marinade smeared over a leg of lamb stuffed with capers, olives, garlic and rosemary.

For a great weekend brunch idea that’s also dairy-free, spice up a traditional savoury muffin recipe by substituting the butter for Grove’s chilli-infused avocado oil. Don’t forget to add loads of colourful vegetables.

Grove’s chilli-infused avocado oil retails for $10.99 and is available in all good supermarkets.

All Grove products are produced in Te Puna in the Bay of Plenty and are made from New Zealand grown avocados. Their oil is 100% natural and cold pressed.
